UPDATES
Dear Customers, This page is where I will announce up-coming
price increases, new tools, modifications to existing tools, etc.
Febraury 1st, 2008- We will have price changes. Please update your records or call us for new prices. Thank you!
We have an accessories page now with some of
our merchandise on it. The pretty lady modeling the
shirts and hats is Jane's daughter, Amy.
We are also putting together "PaleoKits
for Kids". These kits have real tools and real
fossils so anyone can experience the fun of being the first
person to have even seen a particular fossil. The fish
are coming from the Green River formation of Wyoming.
The sharks teeth are coming from Morocco. We also have
some Moroccan Trilobites, but they haven't been put into a kit
yet as you have to have a pneumatic tools such as our PaleoAro
to be able to extract them from the hard matrix that surrounds
them.
Coming up shortly you will see a new front end
for the Chicago Pneumatic and ME 9100 type tools. This
front end is called our "TriTip" front end.
That's because it will support three types of styli. It will
take the stock factory stylus, our 1 1/2" or
2" sharp stylus or a chisel stylus. So it
makes it a very handy upgrade for your tool. We are in a
testing phase for the correct material for the bushing right
now.
What else is new? I built some
"stubby" Micro Jacks for the Philadelphia Academy of
Sciences. They needed some that were short enough to
work in a glove box and not hit the lid and also under a
microscope without getting in the way. So these little
short guys are only 4 1/4" long as compared to the
7" length of the stock Micro Jack. Along with the
body of the tool being shorter, the on/off valve has been
moved to the quick disconnect end of the hose. The price
for these "Stubby" Micro Jacks is the same as for
the stock ones, as long as you can give me enough notice to
get them into an order that is going in for heat treating and
anodizing along with other tools. There is a minimum
charge of $45.00 for heat treating up to 50 lbs. of tool
steel. So if I send one bushing down, it still costs
$45.00. So give me enough lead time to get them into an
order with other items.
We have a new hose set up for the Aro and
Chicago Pneumatic type tools. This uses the 1/4"
Polyurethane hose with the new type quick change
fittings. If you need to replace the hose, disconnect
the tool from it's air supply, compress the plastic collar on
the fitting and slide the hose out of the fitting. Then
just plug the new hose into the fitting. When you pressurize
the tool, the fitting seals and locks the hose into the
fitting. If you have a genuine Aro that has the metric
hose and you need to switch to the American 1/4", I can
do an adaptor for you. I do ask that you send me the
tool as it's a little tricky to get the adaptor to seal
properly.
