Testimonials

The Micro-Jacks Air scribes series has allowed me to work on fossils that would have been impossible to prepare without this wonderful tool. The carbide points stay extra sharp and are a delight when breaking rocks grain by grain.

PaleoTools has custom tools that no other suppliers have that are perfect for both large and small jobs. The fine pneumatic tools (Micro-Jacks) are perfect for moving hard concretionary matrix off of delicate bases.

Additionally, they stand behind what they sell. They have the experience and expertise to actually devise new tools for those unexpected Paleo problems. How many other suppliers would even attempt that?

We use "PaleoTools" throughout our labs and find them to be of superior quality and versatility. I really don't know how we prepared fossils before you guys created these wonderful tools.

The Micro-Jack has worked wonderfully with better control & precision than either of my ARO or CP tools. It has reduced my prep. time on small (2cm) skulls & bones of White River formation rodents dramatically. I highly recommend these tools. I bought my own tool!

My field is engraving (Scrimshaw) powder horns. I reached a point in my business where I considered it is time to do it faster and better.

I went to the internet to find a source of pneumatic tools. I looked into a few until I contacted PaleoTools. There I had the pleasure of dealing with Bill and Jane Murray. Bill and Jane put a totally new definition to the word helpful.

The horns I work with are extremely hard and turned out to be quite a challenge. Bill and Jane hung right in there with me and came up with the exactly correct tool and stylus that not only did the job, but I was able to increase my out put four fold and with my new tools I am able to get quality in my engravings like I have never thought I could.

There are many companies that deal in pneumatic tools, but only one team that I would recommend. That is the PaleoTools team of Bill and Jane Murray.

We began the excavation of British Columbia's first dinosaur bones in the summer of 2003. The bones are in very hard sandstone with a calcium carbonate cement, so we knew that we needed some serious tools to get this material out. We contacted Bill and Jane and who were very friendly, and were an immense help to us in picking out the right air scribes out of a genuine concern for the success of our excavation.
Bill and Jane go the extra mile for their customers. Our initial shipment of air scribes got held up in customs and threatened to delay our excavation, but Bill and Jane sent out a duplicate shipment via courier which allowed us to proceed on schedule. We were very impressed with this level of service and trust since this was the first time we had done business with them.
The medium air scribes (ME-9100s) were the backbone of our excavation and the equipment exceeded our expectations. Though we were using these air scribes constantly for a period of six weeks we did not encounter a single problem and did not break a single stylus. During the same excavation both of our heavy duty air-hammers (from another company) broke down and needed to be replaced.
We are now in the process of fitting out a preparation facility (Peace Region Palaeontology Research Centre) and are getting ready for another summer's excavation on B.C.'s dinosaurs. PaleoTools has provided us with an impressive array of air tools that will be able to handle the range of projects we will encounter, and the degree of punishment they will be subjected to.
